Who processes your data
Elisabete Teixeira, controller of the data collected through this site.
Contact: info@elisabeteteixeira.pt · +351 966 652 608 (call to the Portuguese mobile network). For anything concerning personal data, including exercising your rights, please use this email address.
What this policy covers
The site elisabeteteixeira.pt, including the private portfolio area. It does not cover client websites or third-party platforms linked from here, which have policies of their own.
What data is processed
- Contact form. The name, email, phone number and message you type are neither sent nor stored by this site: the form only prepares a message and opens the email program on your own computer or phone. The data reaches me only if you choose to press send, and it arrives as an ordinary email.
- Direct contact. If you write or call, I process whatever you give me in that conversation - typically your name, contact details and the matter you want to resolve.
- Server logs. The hosting provider keeps technical records of each visit: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type and operating system. They are generated automatically and serve to keep the site running and secure.
- Private portfolio area. The username and password are issued by me, case by case. Visitors cannot register or create an account; sign-in attempts appear in the technical logs above.
No special categories of data are collected (health, beliefs, memberships and the like), and there is no automated decision-making or profiling.
Purposes and legal grounds
- Answering you and preparing possible work together - pre-contractual steps at your request, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- Keeping the site running, secure and protected against abuse, including access control to the portfolio - legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f).
- Meeting legal obligations, tax ones for instance, when the contact leads to a service being provided - Article 6(1)(c).
- Sending you information you did not ask for - this does not happen. There are no newsletters, no advertising and no sharing of your data for marketing.
How long it is kept
Messages stay in my mailbox for as long as it takes to answer and follow the matter through. If nothing follows, they are deleted within two years at most. When the contact leads to a project, the data tied to that relationship is kept for the applicable legal periods, tax ones in particular. Technical server logs are kept by the hosting provider for short periods, normally a few months.
Who else handles it
Your data is neither sold nor passed on to third parties. It is handled by me and, strictly as needed, by the services I use to keep the site and the mailbox running:
- Website and email hosting - PTISP, in Portugal, acting as processor.
- Google Fonts - the typefaces are loaded from Google servers, which means your IP address is disclosed to them so the page can be rendered. This transfer may involve countries outside the European Economic Area, under the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
I may also have to disclose data to public authorities where the law requires it.
Links to other sites
There are links from here to LinkedIn, to video platforms and to client websites. Once you follow one of them you are subject to that service privacy policy, over which I have no control.
Security
The site is always served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and the portfolio area is password-protected at server level. The mailbox has its own password and access limited to me. No measure is infallible, but I treat your data with the care I would want for my own.
Your rights
Regarding data concerning you, you may at any time ask for:
- Access - to know what data I hold and what I do with it.
- Rectification - to correct anything wrong or incomplete.
- Erasure - to delete the data, where there is no legal duty to keep it.
- Restriction and objection - to restrict or object to a given processing, including processing based on legitimate interest.
- Portability - to receive the data in a format you can reuse.
- Withdrawal of consent, where processing rests on it, without affecting what was done before.
Just write to info@elisabeteteixeira.pt. I answer within one month. If you believe your data is not being handled properly, you may complain to the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD, cnpd.pt).
Children
This site is aimed at professionals and companies and is not intended for anyone under 16. No data on minors is knowingly collected; should that happen by mistake, just let me know and it will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated whenever the site or the way I work changes. The version in force is always the one on this page, with the date shown below.
